Year 1/Year 2 phonics screening

  • Within this year’s Year 1 cohort, 88% of pupils met or exceeded the expected standard of the phonics screening. This is well above both the Hertfordshire average (84%) and the National average (83%).

Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (Reception)

  • We are very pleased that 68% of pupils have achieved ‘a good level of development’ (pupil attainment in Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal social and emotional development, Literacy and Mathematics). This is very close to the Hertfordshire average of 73%.
  • Our pupils are making good progress across EYFS (Nursery and Reception) because almost all pupils achieve expected progress and a substantial proportion achieve better than expected progress.
  • Personal/Social/Emotional Development (PSED): 92% achieving age related expectations, 17%achieving above age related expectation
  • Communication and Language (CL): 82%achieving age related expectations, 15% achieving above age related expectation
  • Physical Development (PD):88% achieving age related expectations, 18% achieving above age related expectation
  • Literacy (L):73% achieving age related expectations, 20% achieving above age related expectation
  • Maths (M): 85% achieving age related expectations, 22%achieving above age related expectation
