Year 3

We have been busy making 3-D shapes in Maths today. We used straws and playdough and learnt how many faces, vertices and edges 3-D shapes have.

Year 6 Sports Day

Class 6O had a fantastic time taking part in Sports Day this morning. They showed excellent team spirit and sportsmanship and fun was had by all.

Year 3 Basketball Session

Year 3 took part in a basketball taster session this morning where they learned some new skills. They thoroughly enjoyed it and it looks like there are some budding basketball players!

1T Sports Day

Year one had a fantastic time competing in their sports day events. We all took turns in running races and worked hard in our teams. We participated in an egg and spoon, skipping, and space hopper race. All the children tried their best and supported one another. Well done 1T for being physically fit for life!

Year 3 Sports Day

Year 3 had a fantastic morning today competing in their events for Sports Day. They took part in a number of running races on the track and participated brilliantly together in their teams. They enjoyed skipping, egg and spoon and space hopper races as well as seated target throw and javelin throwing. Some of the teachers also attempted the skipping race! Everyone tried very hard and did their best. Many children showed a lot of perseverance during their events and didn’t give up. The children said it was such a fun morning even though it was very different to our usual Sports Day.

Year 1 creating bird feeders

Year one have really enjoyed learning about instructions this week. They started the week by making their very own bird feeder by following each step carefully. It has been great to hear that they have attracted birds into the children’s gardens at home.

Year 6 DT

Year 6 were set a challenge as part of our Disasters theme: To build a model shelter to withstand a natural disaster. They worked extremely hard on their cutting, building and design skills to create some fantastic models.

1T- Art

This week we have been developing our drawing skills. We have spent time sketching each part of the tree, focusing on the lines, shapes and shading we could see. This afternoon we went outside to apply our new skills creating a final piece of art work.
